Advancing C-UAS
We are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of Bionic System Solutions' participation in the NATO Science and Technology Trial SET-348 on Bornholm. Over the past week, our acoustic detection systems underwent rigorous testing in complex environments, with highly promising results.
This trial marked another key milestone in advancing Counter-UAS (C-UAS) technology, demonstrating the reliability and effectiveness of our Komodo system in detecting small UAVs under challenging conditions.
Testing the Iguana
Looking ahead, we are preparing for our next major exercise in Oksbøl, beginning Nov 26, 2024. This will involve deploying eight new systems, named IGUANA, for long-distance artillery and mortar localization through acoustic sensing—a critical capability for modern defense. This exercise is also an important step in the further development of the Iguana, for artillery localization, where field tests with live ammunition is crucial, something made possible due to our great partnership with the danish military. The Iguana system is set to be ready for deployment in 2025.
The Iguana system is designed to provide advanced artillery detection capabilities, benefiting both the Danish Defense and our Allies. The ongoing conflict in Ukraine underscores the need for solutions like ours, and we remain committed to developing technologies that enhance the safety and security of military and civilian assets.
Our journey from concept to operational deployment has been challenging but deeply rewarding, and the team are all proud of what we have achieved. These exercises are crucial not only for refining our technology but also for helping shape the future of acoustic sensing in defense.
